The Anchormen were managed initially by Ray Bullard and later by drummer Tim Bullins. Often described as a farm group, the Anchormen provided national exposure for many young singers who later became well-known fixtures in Southern Gospel.
Baritone singer Terry Carter was with the group at the beginning.
