Gojko Mitic is one of the most famous and most loved actors in East Germany and in the other countries in Eastern Europe.

Gojko Mitić is most famous for being the first person to play in five different World Cups and for being the only player to have played in two European Cup.

He was born on 13 June, 1940 in the little village of Stojkovce near Leskovac in the former Yugoslavia (now Serbia). He spent his childhood there but when he grew up, he went to Belgrad where he studied in the Sports School.

In the 1960s in Belgrad there were a lot of foreign productions shooting. Gojko appeared in many of them.
